4. How to generate a QR code for Email Capture with Custom Redirect

We introduced a new feature called Email Capture with Custom Redirect. This feature allows users to collect more emails by generating a QR code that directs customers to enter their email before accessing a custom URL, text page, image, or Instagram post.

How it Works

For accessing the Email Capture with the Custom Redirect feature

First, the user needs to set up the form. This form will appear when a guest scans the QR code. The user can customize and edit the form as desired, and a live preview will be displayed on the right side.

After setting up the form, the user should click the Save & Continue button to save the changes. In the second step, the user will see the redirect options: Text Page, Custom URL, Image Post, and Instagram Post. The user can select any one of these options and customize it as needed.

Click on the Go To Setup Form link to set up the form. The user will be successfully redirected to the setup form page.

The user can edit and customize the form page in the Setup Form. Here, the user can:

  • Add a logo and adjust its size as needed.

  • You can set the logo position by clicking on the Left, Center, or Right buttons, and the logo will adjust accordingly.

  • Add a form title and description.

  • Edit the email placeholder and button text as desired.

After making the changes, clicking the Save & Continue button will save the updates and redirect the user to the next page.

In the Next Step, the user will see the Redirect options: Text Page, Custom URL, Image Post, and Instagram Post. The user can select any one of these options and customize it as needed.

  • Text Page: If the user selects the Text Page option and clicks the Save & Continue button, they will be redirected to the next page, where they can edit and customize the text page. The user can:

    • Edit the page title and description.

    • Add buttons to the page and embed links in them to redirect guests.

    • Add multiple buttons, edit button text, and set different links.

    • Preview the changes on the right side before saving.

After Scanning the QR code and entering their email, guests will see the Text Page.

  • Custom URL: If the user selects the Custom URL option and clicks the Save & Continue button, they will be redirected to the next page, where they can enter and edit the custom URL. After Scanning the QR code, entering their email, and submitting it, they will be redirected to the specified Custom URL.

  • Image Post: If the user selects the Image Post option and clicks the Save & Continue button, they will be redirected to the next page, where they can upload an image.

    • A preview of the image will be displayed on the right side.

    • After Scanning the QR code, entering their email, and submitting it, guests will see the uploaded image post.

  • Instagram Post: If the user selects the Instagram Post option and clicks the Save & Continue button, they will be redirected to the next page, where they can embed the Instagram post code.

    • A preview of the embedded Instagram post will be visible on the right side.

    • After entering and submitting their email, guests will see the embedded Instagram post.

Once the user sets up their chosen redirect option and customizes or edits it, they can click the Save or Save & Continue button to save the changes.

  • If the user clicks the Save button, they will be redirected to the QR Codes page.

  • On the QR Codes page, the user can generate a QR code by clicking the Generate button.

  • After generating the QR code, the Generate button text will change to Generated, and the button will be disabled.

  • To enable the button again, the user must first remove the existing QR code.

After generating the QR code, the user can modify the redirect option by clicking the Change Redirect button.

  • To edit the redirect option, click the Edit button.

  • To remove the QR code, click the Remove button.

After scanning the QR code, the Form Page will be displayed.

  • When guests scan the QR code, they will land on the Welcome Page of the form.

  • The guest must enter a valid email address and submit the form.

  • Once submitted, the guest will be successfully created in the Beambox user account.

  • After successful submission, the guest will be redirected to the selected redirect option.

User Can Filter The QR Code Guests

Now, users can filter QR Code guests to easily see how many or which guests came from the QR Code module. To use this feature, the user needs to navigate to the 'Guests' module and click on 'Add Filter.' Then, they should find the 'Login Method' option.

Once the user clicks on it, they will see the 'QR Code' option.

After selecting the QR Code option, the user will be able to choose the QR Code provider from the following options:

  • Review Automator

  • Forms

  • Email Capture Redirect

Now, the user can select a provider option, and the system will filter guests based on the selected provider.
