Having problems with your UniFi integration?

Our UniFi integration works by constantly connecting to your UniFi controller via API. If you are having problems, make sure that...

  1. Your controller is publically accessible from outside of your network

  2. If you have a firewall, make sure that you have white-listed our integrator I.P (167.99.200.51)

  3. You have a static I.P or hostname, which isn't going to change and, therefore, discontinue our access 🙅‍♀️

What are your symptoms?

When guests log in, it takes a long time for them to be given internet access

Start by removing your wireless network and re-creating it in its most simple form.

Don't add any additional configurations or VLAN associations.

Then, test the network and incrementally add back configurations to find what is slowing it down.

The integrator will not connect to my controller

Make sure your I.P/hostname is accessible from outside of your network.

If you have a cloud key, make sure port 8443 is forwarded, and you can then your controller URL will be https://YOUR_PUBLIC_IP:8443

The integrator connects to my controller but doesn't configure my guest control settings

Does the controller login you provided have full admin permissions?

Our integrator configures the guest control settings, so it's important it has permission to change settings.

My guests receive an error page when connecting to the network

This happens when we lose connection to your controller for more than 5 minutes.

To fix this, watch this video 📽️

Make sure your controller stays online and available to prevent this from happening again.

I've completed the integrator, but the WiFi login does not show when connecting.

Have you enabled guest policies on your wireless network?

Head to the wireless network settings for your guest network name within UniFi. Then, ensure the guest policies checkbox is enabled and save the network.

The WiFi login shows on some devices, but not all of them

Is your network name the same as before you integrated with Beambox?

If so, make a slight adjustment to your network name to get devices to accept the new WiFi login.

Guests are getting a perpetual spin after providing the login details in the login/splash page and just getting "You are being connected."

This is a known issue with UniFi 2FA. To resolve this issue, kindly create a local account and follow these steps.

To create a local account, please follow these steps.

1) On the top right, click the icon next to the profile symbol and select Users

2) From there, you will add a user

3) create a super admin account here and save the credentials

Once this is done, update the integration inside your Beambox without 2FA with the newly created account.
